10th Planet

Scientist now have discovered a 10th planet in our solar system. The planet, dubbed Sedna, is only 2000 km across and 10 billion km from earth. Many astronomers argue that Sedna is too small to be classified as a planet and you can expect debate to rage on for a long time on the subject. You can read about it here.

Spain Election

Three days after the terrorist attack in Spain, the Popular Party has fallen. The citizens of Spain placed the blame for the terrorist attack on the Spanish prime minister Maria Aznar. Al-Qaeda claimed responsibility for the attack and said that it was carried out due to Spain's support of the U.S. invasion of Iraq. The attack sent a shockwave through the country and the result was Aznar ending up on the losing end of this election. I see this as a major problem. This could send a message to terrorists groups that they have won a battle. I expect to see the possibility of attacks before the elections of many countries' leaders. I fear that this could lead to grim times to come.
